What is the Community/Channel Editor?

Overview

The Channel Editor will be soon renamed to the Community Editor, since the name is more descriptive than the term Channel. The Community/Channel Editor is a desktop application that allows you to manage the content of community/channels that are part of the GIS Portal. Communities/Channels provide quick access to authoritative data resources that are stored as metadata in the portal repository or are available from different Internet sites.

The Community/Channel Editor can be used to edit the community/channel content XML file. This tool helps community/channel stewards ensure that the community/channel content XML is valid according to the XML Schema Definition (XSD).
